Even though my blog will be about me, my family, etc. I would like to give a little info. about where I live….and how I arrived in Central Florida.
I grew up near Cleveland, OH. While I loved where I lived, the longness of the winters was brutal. Spring, summer and fall will always remain wonderful, beautiful memories. Northern Ohio is absolutely beautiful during this time….and their park system can’t be beat!
From Cleveland (and with two children) my husband, Tim, and I moved to Monroe, MI for a few years. Monroe was much like Ohio (weather wise) but a little more “country” out where we lived. I have many fond memories of apple picking and fall events.
Ashburn, VA was our next stop. In Virginia we added two more children to our family. I must say, Virginia was probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever lived….mountains to the north and west….D.C. to the southeast. The weather stunk (very hot summers/icy winters) but many happy memories were made.
Our final stop, eventually, was Central Florida….and along came two more children to complete our family. It took me several years to get used to the heat and humidity…always tired and sweaty…but I can now say….I’ve adjusted. Where growing up in the north March and April were barely tolerable (rainy and icy), July, August and September in Orlando are barely tolerable (hot and humid). The rest of the year, uncountable sunny days, rainbows, warm breezes, walks on the beach, sitting outdoors at night, not having to bundle up to go anywhere are definite perks and always appreciated and greatly enjoyed……more to follow.
